While the surf is usually around a metre at Maroochy Beach, the beach up the road at Alexandra Heads offers more exciting water for experienced surfers. The surf club at Alex Heads as the locals are fond of calling it, is also worth visiting having been recently refurbished, the club facilities are also youth friendly with a dedicated kids games room and night lit skate ramp next door. This is just perfect for an easy night out.

For a night out at one of Maroochydore’s iconic restaurants, the Boatshed offers delicous meals served with stunning views overlooking the mouth of the river, complete with local pelicans.
